Beautifully Empty

The green trees and blue skies stop
existing. I see a man; he is nothing,
he is a dark memory of who I was. A breaker
of the hearts of those he loved.

And then I see this barren earth, void
of all things beautiful. What I once knew was stripped away
from me. Now, it’s just darkness whom I see, she transports me,

a new world, subject to my will, beautifully empty.
