Bright Lights and Dark Thoughts

The party lights tried its best to guide the man

He walked on, accompanied by no one,

But the sound of raindrops hitting the pavement,

And his own words running around his head.

The man thought long and hard about taking this path.

He walked on, thinking, “no one would know anyway.”

Under the protection of his umbrella, he took his time.

He waited gently for a subject, and when it came, he decided.

With the bright lights behind him, he wasn’t turning back.

He walked on, and the dark road ahead smiled at him.
